They have been rigorously checked out, tested and recently calibrated here at our licensed radiological calibration laboratory. Calibration sticker affixed to the side of the unit. CD V-700 Victoreen Geiger Counter     0-50 mR/hr range These are used Model 6A meters that have been rigorously checked out, tested and recently calibrated here at our licensed radiological calibration laboratory. Calibration sticker affixed to the side of the unit. They look slightly used cosmetically. Three ranges allow low level gamma radiation measurement at 0 - 0.5 mR/hr, 0 - 5.0 mR/hr and 0 - 50.0 mR/hr. Also, beta radiation detection with the probe window open. This Victoreen Model 6A is considered the 'work horse' of the emergency response community with thousands in use today across America. Unit includes headphones, carrying strap and the original manual. Requires 4 common D-Cell batteries. Total delivered cost is $375.00. CD V-700M Geiger Counter with large thin-walled probe. These are exceptionally clean CD V-700 meters (either Victoreen or Electro-Neutronics, our choice) that are incorporating a new and recently manufactured thin-end-windowed G-M tube (LND 723) encased in a new OCD-P-108 aluminum probe housing. (Sample of this thin-end-windowed G-M tube can be seen there in foreground of the photo.) They have been rigorously checked out, tested and recently calibrated at our licensed radiological calibration laboratory. Calibration sticker affixed to the side of the unit. The CD V-700M is not calibrated to measure mR/hr. It is calibrated to measure alpha, beta, and gamma in counts per minute (cpm). The ranges are 0 to 300 cpm, 0 to 3,000 cpm and 0 to 30,000 cpm. To get mR/hr, which is only applicable to gamma radiation readings, you have to do some math: 2,400 cpm = 1 mR/hr. So the ranges are 0 to 0.125 mR/hr, 0 to 1.25 mR/hr and 0 to 12.5 mR/hr. Also, very sensitive alpha and beta radiation detection at the probe window screened end that would not be detectable by standard CD V-700 G-M tube setup. Ideal for decontamination duties of checking people and the inspection of food & water for radiation contamination. Unit includes headphones, carrying strap and the original manual. CD V-705 External Speaker for CD V-700's These are new-in-the-box external speakers specifically and originally made for the CD V-700 series Geiger Counters. They mount securely on the side of the CD V-700 and plug into the standard headphone jack. They have been checked out and tested here at our licensed radiological calibration laboratory. OCD-P-108 Aluminum Probe Housings for CD V-700 Geiger Counters These are new G-M tube probe housings specifically and originally made for the CD V-700 series Geiger Counters to be utilized with the larger thin end-window G-M tubes. CD V-138 Low-Range (1-200 mR) Dosimeters The photo is of CD V-742 dosimeters and a dosimeter charger, which we describe and detail here and sell over here, but we also have a very limited number (less than 75 as of 7/26/06) of these rare CD V-138 low-range (1-200 mR) dosimeters. They are visibly used, but are all recently 5-day electric leak tested and then radiation accuracy tested and confirmed to mid-range, as proscribed by FEMA and performed here in our licensed radiological calibration laboratory. CD V-781 Aerial Survey Meter The CD V-781 Aerial Survey Meter, Model No. 1, produced in 1970 was originally designed to be utilized in a small plane to overfly, detect and measure fallout on the ground below. It can also be used effectively when stationary on the ground, from a shelter or while surveying from a moving vehicle. Utilizes three Geiger-Mueller (G-M) tubes, each responding simultaneously to a decade portion of the total 0 - 10 R/hr radiation level range of the instrument. Measures diffused gamma radiation in the 70 kev to 1.2 Mev spectrum. Metering unit consists of three indicating meters with associated indicator lamps, an audio tone generating circuit and headphones. The meter ranges are 0 - 0.1 R/hr, 0 - 1.0 R/hr and 0 - 10 R/hr. Operates on 12 volt DC or with nine D-Cell batteries for approximately 100 hours. See/read the manual (along with more photos) for the CD V-781 here. The Complete Set seen in the top photo includes the detector unit seen in yellow, the meter unit also seen in the center photo, the training simulator colored green in the top photo along with the old style tape recorder and all the mounting hardware and cables and headphones and manuals. Total delivered cost for the Complete Set CD V-781 unit is $490.00. The Portable Set includes all of the above except for the simulator, tape recorder and mounting hardware. It also does include the aluminum carrying box seen at the right, however it won't have the red label seen there. Also, includes the clipboard designed to have the meter unit mount atop it. CD V-757 Civil Defense Barrier Shielding Demonstration Set Designed for large public (auditorium-sized) lectures and demonstration of the fallout radiation shielding properties of different common materials, such as water, dirt, concrete, etc. Very graphical and colorful green florescent tube logarithmic scale movement (can be seen easily at 100 feet) and covers three decades range. Movement on the scale is created from background radiation alone and any other source introduced, such as a common smoke detector source that'll send it climbing up the scale noticeably. CD V-757, Model No. 1, comes complete with instrument console, remote indicator with base plate, G-M detector and support arm, support arm extension, base unit, marker flags, remote speakers, microphone, 50 page instruction manual and lecture/demonstration guidebook. Refurbished and in good working order, requires 110 AC power source. G-M detector fully tested, calibrated at our licensed radiological calibration laboratory and a sticker affixed to the side of the unit. Complete unit ready for demonstration and lecture purposes for large groups, as originally intended. However, you'll need a radioactive source to fully utilize its demonstration capability. Originally, it was demonstrated with a 1 millicurie Cs-137 sealed source that is, of course, not included here. Total delivered cost is $660.00. CD V-457 Lab Bench Top Meter Designed for lab use with 110 volt AC power source. G-M tube and unit recently tested and re-calibrated and sticker affixed to the side of the unit. Meter readout indicates counts per minute (CPM) and high voltage range. Adjustable high voltage applied to G-M tube permits testing and verification of G-M tubes operating voltage and several other different experiments also possible. Two ranges for CPM, X1 and X2, provides range coverage from zero to 15,000 CPM. Built in speaker provides audio 'clicks' for counts. Excellent area monitor where 110 AC available.
